Don't you love it when you make something and it fits right first time and it looks like you wanted it to?
I'm really pleased with it.
It's made using Burda 7798.
I am smiling here ... honestly.
I'm also thinking about what I'm going to stick in the kids' lunchboxes, wondering where my oldest daughter's school shoes are and thinking about what to get out of the freezer for dinner. Know the feeling?
I've finished the back of Maddy's sweater. I don't think I'm going to have enough
of the recycled wool to finish it but I'm sure it all work out in the end. I'll figure out a way to stretch what I have even if I have to make the sleeves shorter. Any other suggestions?
Eloise's Creative Space is this mad hairstyle she gave herself this morning.
It's been a year since I started this blog and I have a giveaway to celebrate. Enter here if you want to!
What's your Creative Space today? Thanks to Kirsty at Kootoyoo for hosting this great game.

Its gorgeous Sarah!
I love that shift top style!
Oh that hairstyle is brilliant...that really made me smile. My son used to love putting pretty little things in his hair(he went to a family day care centre and was one of the only boys there!) and it bought back those cute memories. The dress looks lovely.
Great top. Adore your choice of fabric. Great colour and pattern. LOVELY. ...and yes - I know 'that' feeling!
lovely top! hoping to get that feeling soon - about to start my first clothes sewing pattern today!
Your tunic looks fabulous and I love your knitting :) K
Your top looks great! Love those red shoes. I have a pair of very cool red winter boots. Red shoes rock! Very cute pic of your daughters hair too. Thanks for the well wishes!

Love the tunic! That colour looks great on you!
The tunic is gorgeous, I've never had a chance to make clothes for myself but would really love to take the time to do it sometime. I love cute little Eloise's hair, very trendy!!
I can see why you were drawn to that fabric and had to buy it, it looks fantastic used as that top. I wish I could find more prints that I liked. You did a great job on that top too. Couldn't fit you more perfectly.

the tunic is gorgeous Sarah!! Re jumper and not enough wool maybe you could do a mulitcolour jumper, like patchwork. xo
Oh Sarah - you made something for yourself and were happy with it? I can only dream. This is the exact reason I didn't pursue sewing when I was younger - everything I touched turned to shite! Good for you!
Love the top and also those shoes! So very cute!
You've done a great job on that dress, looks great! Cute hairdo, she looks very pleased with it too...

Congratulations on your sewing project that worked out! It's a great feeling when a piece of clothing you make works first time! It doesn't happen often for me. Happy Creative Thursday! xo
That tunic looks just perfect on you! I dig your red shoes! :P
Happy 1st anniversary to your blog, Sarah! X

The top looks great, and so does the crazy hairstyle :)
Nice work - looks great, and I love the hair style too!
Your tunic is lovely and suits you so well! Your jumper is kicking along beautifully too...oh I wish I could knit that fast. Hope you have a happy weekend :)
Love the tunic, love the shoes, love the hair ... re the knitting - love that green colour - how about making the sleeves striped with the green, pinks, lemons and lilac ??? Glennie x
Thanks for all your lovely comments everyone! And thanks for the tips on using different colours on the sleeves for Maddy's sweater. I think I will probably go with that option if I run out. Fingers crossed I don't!
the top/dress is fantastic - you must be really proud. I love the fabric (and yes, know the feeling well!)
That tunic is lovely! I wish I could sew something like that for myself :)
