Mummy time

I was lucky enough to have a night away with two lovely friends on Friday night. We went to one of the friend's family beach house (bach if you are a Kiwi) up in Mangawhai for some just girls time. Just what busy Mums need every so often!

This is the view I woke up to, peeking through the blinds of my bedroom.
Aren't the sand dunes stunning?

We did a whole lot of this, played scrabble in our pyjamas, ate great food and drank wine.

We had a lovely walk on the beach collecting shells and driftwood for a school project.

I came home feeling full of energy ready to tackle the first week back at school.
How about you? How do you get your Mummy time?

Mangawhai is still one of the nicest places for some time away and its not far from Auckland. My Aunty has a bach on Lincoln St so they are often up there in the weekends. It's been a while since I last went up there but we used to have loads of fun trekking across those sand dunes! From your photo it looks like you're up a bit higher.

God I am SO jealous! I could do with a girls weekend away :-) We have a place up on Wintle Street (the road that heads to the surf beach) and your view looks very similar... it has been too long since we've been up there though. Hope you had a great time and are feeling revived!

Thanks Reiverbed. It was lovely. I don't think I'm going to make to Crafternoon Tea this month unfortunately as I've got too many other things on. Fingers crossed for next month as I do love it!
