Sorry...

I am that woman that's in front of you in the queue when there's only one person serving at the counter during the Spotlight sale. I am the one you mutter swearwords about because you only have one roll of fabric and she has at least 8. Plus, who needs that amount of toy fill? Pah.

I am the woman that the Spotlight staff actually smile and talk to because I am in there so often and have frequently sympathised with their plight (have you EVER seen a happy Spotlight staff member?!) The two way conversation with the staff member actually makes things worse I know because you are in a rush and it seems like things are taking longer because there is talking involved.

I am the woman who is ever so sorry to the ten people in the queue behind me (and to my other half who is going to spit tacks if he sees how much fabric I bought today).

Please forgive me. I promise not to buy so much next time.

So that was you, huh?! They should have a separate queue at Spotlight for 'professional' shoppers. You could have a Professional Crafter badge and everything.

Ah, it doesn't even matter. I hope you love all your fabrics!! x

I'm intrigued and I must say that I've always believed the staff can't be well treated or paid to be so universally peed off - a smile and a nice bit of conversation goes a long way eh?

That's ok, I am the woman in front of you at the supermarket express checkout, who you are shooting daggers at for having too many items, when really the kind checkout person waved me over a minute ago because my children were in meltdown mode.

Awww Sarah....I am YOU ;0)
I do exactly the same and as I often take my children (or at least the baby) with me I have the added 'kids' convo with the staff - infact I have even asked after some staff members children on a subsiquent visit because of the depth of previous 'chats'. I do feel for those behind me, and have been known to say 'you go first coz I'll be ages" on the odd occassion too. In saying that I have also been behind 'us' in the spotlight cue, so do not worry lol - you are far from alone in this fabric addicted world ;0)

ha ha - that's fabulous! I am that lady too - the Spotlight ladies now say "and tell me what you think of..." I have moved up in the hierachy! (and your right about happy Spotlight staff) x

LOL - yup, I was that lady too. We recently moved though, and the nearest Spotlight is 1.5 hours away. Lindcraft is about 1/2 an hour, but they're never as good IME. I miss Margaret and Sandy (my 2faves at my old local store) - I'm sure Kawana spotlight's revenue must be down because I've moved.
