My Creative Space - Nearly finished

As usual, I've got several projects on the go, at varying stages of unfinished. Sometimes, that last little bit takes weeks to do because my finishing mojo has gone somewhere and I've got my 'must start a new and more interesting' mojo going on instead.

These silk/cotton mix fingerless gloves just have a few rows to go to finish the pair and I could have/should have finished them last night. I'm making them as a favour for a lovely neighbour and she could have worn them today if I took half an hour to finish them last night. For some reason, I just couldn't do it.

Then there is M's new dress that I showed you the fabric for last week. All it needs is the shoulder straps hand stitching in at the back (I want to be able to pull the stitches out easily and adjust it as she grows) and a hook and eye closure at the neck. Again, just don't have the motivation to do it. I just want to start new projects, to put new ideas into practice. Do you have those days? I will have to make myself finish these off tonight and then they can both be worn or put away instead of draping themselves prettily over the arm of the couch.

I really know what you're talking about Sarah! I have a similar problem with the repairs basket, by the time I start mending Daniel's clothes, Joshua is ready to wear them :)

I know just what you mean, I'm always running ahead starting on something new, especially when I have other things, more pressing things I'm supposed to be getting done! I love that dress & the colours in your gloves..

I think we all share the same problem - finishing isn't nearly as much as starting - but then again finished is also better - just have to get there!
Lovely dress :)

I always have multiple projects on the go too. Love the yarn, you used in the gloves and the dress is looking super cute.

Such pretty projects you've got to drape over the arm of the couch! I told my husband that I have knitting ADD. I've got about 4 projects on the go and all of them *almost* done, but not quite!

Love that dress - the contrast between the two materials is scrummy. The thing I hate with having more than one project on the knitting needles is that ridge you get on the next row when you resume knitting - drives me nuts ......

Finishing mojo, eh? I'm totally pinching that term, Sarah. The dress is looking lovely!

it's a disease: startitus. the remedy is finishupitus, but very hard to come by.

oh I think we all know this one! Like when you're rustling through your fabrics and you find some pre-cut projects long forgotten. The dress looks amazing x

I have a simmilar problem. I have too many WIP's on the go to count (or admit to ;) ) ... I'm sure it keeps you from getting bogged down! :)

Beautiful dress and love the fabric combinations, they work so well together!

Miss Cotton Kiwi, I fear I have a confession to make. I don't think I ever emailed you back when you offered to mail me the willow cross stitch pattern......I'm SO SORRY!!!! Sometimes I put things to the side to do later...and forget all about them!!! Then ages later and quite inexplicably they pop back into my head, and I gasp with horror as I remember that I have forgotten to do something!
I most humbly apologise {it was ages ago!! I'm sorry!}
